This small Vintage 1950's purse is a classic from Whiting and Davis, has shiny gold mesh, gold colored liner and a kiss clasp with a fold-down gold metal wedge piece on the front. The chain handle is attached with one side connected to the top left and the other connected to the bottom right side of the top. The Whiting and Davis signature is stamped inside the purse at the top of the frame as well as "Made in U.S.A." A Whiting and Davis cloth label is also attached inside.
The purse measures 7” wide at its widest point at the bottom. It is 5" high, 4” deep with one open inside pocket. The handle measures 10” long. The purse is in good condition with the exception of 2 metal mesh pieces being worn; this is shown in the 4th photo above, near the top of the photo. Otherwise, this lovely purse is in good condition for its age. and a great evening bag for a night out.
