Elgin American Compact, Square Scrolled Top Makeup Case

Elgin American Square Compact

This is a vintage gold tone metal square compact with a scrolled top. Stamped "Elgin American" inside the case and on the powder puff. It measures 2-5/8" across/down. Inside, the mirror is cracked, as shown. The puff is present and is in good condition for its age. There is a tiny residue of powder remaining, as can be seen in the last photo. The front top of the case shows scratches as does the back but there are no dents or other marks. The inside metal is in very good condition, as can be seen in the photos. This would be a unique gift for a collector.
